With over 19 years of experience, Dr. Subhash Jangid is the Director – Orthopedics and Joint Reconstruction associated with the Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. His primary work comprises of the knee, hip and shoulder joints related surgeries including replacement. With degrees of MBBS & MS from Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner, Rajasthan, DNB (Orthopedic Surgery) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, MRCS from Royal College of Surgeons Physicians, Glasgow, UK, and M Ch (Orthopedic) from the American Institute of Medicine, USA, Dr. Jangid is a renowned Orthopedic Surgeon of the country. Dr Subhash will introduce the NAVIO Robot for knee replacement surgery at FMRI, Gurgaon. The robotic arm further increases the accuracy of the surgery and the patient feels more like a natural knee after surgery. The robot helps the surgeon in Dynamic Gap Balancing of the knee and thus prevents the mid-flexion instability of the replaced knee. The soft tissue dissection is very minimal and it is truly a minimally invasive technique with almost painless recovery. Dr. Subhash Jangid areas of expertise include Joint Replacement Surgery (Arthroplasty) with Computer Navigation, Newer Bearings for Younger Patients, and Arthroscopic (Key Hole) Joint Surgery. He is the only Orthopedic Surgeon in India who uses NAV 3 Computer Navigation for Joint Replacement Surgery, which is the world’s most advanced Computer Navigation System for this type of surgery. He was also India’s first Orthopedic Surgeon to use Bone Graft Substitute for Tumor patients. Before joining the Artemis Hospital he was associated with the Fortis Hospital and the Primus Hospital in New Delhi. Currently, he is also a visiting faculty to the Nnamd iAzikawe University Teaching Hospital at Nnewi, Nigeria.
